These classes are specifically designed for social media community managers of retail stores. Class size is limited to 10 students from the same store brand to ensure confidentiality and maximal customization.

About the Courses

These classes will be online classes using your computer. Ideally, you use the speakers and microphone on your computer but you can use your phone if that is better. It's more fun if you have a webcam but not absolutely needed.

Each student will receive a personal welcome call before the first class to make sure everything is ready for a successful program.

Three Months
Facebook for Beginners 

This beginner class will enable you and your staff to make your Facebook Page into a successful part of your retail business.

The Course Highlights

  • Small class size.
    It's always a good idea to train two people so you have you are covered for illness or vacation times. All students will be from your organization. The maximum class size is 10 participants.
  • 7 Training calls over 3 months.
    We will have at least 7 training calls. In the first month, we will meet more often but there will always be plenty of time to practice.
  • Support when you need it
    An important part of every training call are your questions. But if you get stuck in between sessions you can always send an email and get an individual answer within 24hrs.

There will be homework and supporting material to help you succeed. You don't need any previous knowledge for this course.

Two Months
Instagram for Retailers 

This beginner class will enable you and your staff to learn how to use Instagram for your store.
Reach a younger audience with this amazing visual tool!

  • 4 Training calls over 2 months.
    We will have at least 4 training calls. In the first month, we will meet more often but there will always be plenty of time to practice.

Advanced Facebook for Retailers 

Take your Facebook marketing to the next level by using advanced Facebook ads techniques,
contest and custom apps.

The Course Highlights

  • Small class size.
    It's always a good idea to train two people so you have you are covered for illness or vacation times. All students will be from your organization. The maximum class size is 10 participants.
  • 4 Training calls over 2 months.
    We will have at least 47 training calls. In the first month, we will meet more often but there will always be plenty of time to practice.
  • Support when you need it
    An important part of every training call are your questions. But if you get stuck in between sessions you can always send an email and get an individual answer within 24hrs.

There will be homework and supporting material to help you succeed. The Facebook course #1 or similar experience is a prerequisite for this course.

How the Canada B.C. Job Grant works:

The grant is an employer-driven, cost-sharing program that helps employers invest in training for their current or future employees. The Canada-B.C. Job Grant assists eligible employers to offset the cost of training up to a maximum of $10,000 per employee trained.

The goal of the Program is to increase participation and development of British Columbians in the labour force by helping them develop the skills they need.

The Canada-B.C. Job Grant is also an opportunity for employers to invest in training that is better aligned to job opportunities.

This is a great opportunity for organizations in both the private and non-profit sectors to invest in training their staff. Funding is always a barrier to embarking on training programs and this grant significantly reduces the burden on organizations.

The time period for the 2016 Grant has been extended!
